OK girls (and guys) did the holidays have you over-indulging just a tad bit too much? Do you find yourself waking up just a little sluggish? Well we have some great tips to help motivate that lymph system!
#1-Dry brushing! I know I have talked about this before, but it really WORKS! So shake the cobwebs off your "Body Brush" (or, treat yourself to a new one). Dry brushing is simple, before you get in the shower, brush your body in upward strokes towards your heart. Your lymphatic system doesn't have a pump like your heart, so it slows down and gets sluggish. Daily brushing improves circulation, removes dead skin cells and reduces the appearance of cellulite by moving the lymph fluid towards your lymph nodes.
#2-Use Essentials oils like our "Purify". Juniper, fennel, grapefruit, cypress & cedarwood encourage the release of toxins in the body. Just apply a dime size amount on your hips and thighs.

#3-Water-lots of it, our bodies need water to stay hydrated even when it's cold. So, skip the hot chocolate and grab a glass of water. Do you have dry lips? That's the #1 sign you are all ready dehydrated.
#4-Stress Relief-take a deep breath...........take a yoga class, go for a 10 minute walk, light a "Soy Candle", and use essentials oils to lower cortisol, the stress hormone). BC Essentials "Stress Relief" oil can significantly lower your stress level if used daily. There
are many therapeutic uses of essential oils, including infections (viral,
bacterial and fungal), wound healing and skin regeneration, immune system
support, nervous system imbalance, emotional and psychological issues, hormonal
imbalance and auto-immune disorders. In other words, essential oils balance
hormones, help regulate blood pressure, sedate, relax and stimulate. They are
also great for muscle aches, pains, burns, sinus problems, coughs and colds,
migraines, stress, anxiety, depression, symptoms of PMS and Menopause as well
as many other ailments.
Each essential oil is made up of molecules which are absorbed into the body either through skin absorption or inhalation. These molecules, when inhaled, enter the olfactory area of the brain in the
limbic system. This area of the brain is responsible for our memory, emotions,
heart rate, sexuality and hormones. Essential oil molecules also enter through the skin. They are then transported through out the body via oxygen molecules in the blood stream. The essential oil
molecules attach themselves to harmful toxins, free-radicals, cell debris, fungi, bacteria, and viruses in the body and carry them away. It may take anywhere from twenty minutes to seven
hours for the skin to fully absorb the essential oils, and anywhere from three
to twenty hours to eliminate them. We eliminate them through our sweat, urine,
and saliva.
